Strongarm Sessions have released a third ‘Special Edition’ mix for your enjoyment mixed by Elite Force. You can download it for free right here and trust me you’ll want a copy. Also keep an ear to the ground till early 2010 when Elite Force drops his mix cd ‘Re:Vamped’ which promises to be BIG, it features the mashups and re-edits that he’s been droppin in his sets over the past 18 months or so.

It looks like the boys from bassfire have some competition, I spotted this little gem while I was on holiday.
Anyways the real point to this post was the other little gem I heard recently by Alix Perez. The samples for his soon to be released album 1984 are enough to make you salivate worse then pavlov’s dog. The new album showcases all the facets of his production, combining 140BPM downbeat tracks with the lyrical genius of Ursula Rucker, Yungun and the Foreign Beggars.
If you didn’t catch him at one of the many festivals he’s played so far on his 1984 tour, then don’t panic. The Tuesday Club have only gone and booked him for 10th November. I know that’s a bit of a long way off so check his myspace for all the album samples here.
